Install Zoom on Your Mac via Google Chrome

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/download
  2. Click on the first “Download” link
  3. Click “Save”
  4. Click on “Zoom.pkg” at the bottom of the screen
  5. A new window will appear
  6. Click “Continue”
  7. Click “Install”
  8. If prompted, enter your computer password. This is the password you use to sign into your computer
  9. Click “Close”
  10. You see a prompt “Do you want to move the ‘Zoom’ Installer to the Trash?”
  11. Click “Keep”
  12. Zoom is now installed and will launch. You do not need to sign in for Zoom to work
  13. In this demo, I went to Gmail to find the link to my Tech Lifesaver Session
  14. It looks like “https://zoom.us/j/123456789”
  15. Click on this link
  16.  Chrome will open a prompt asking “Open zoom.us?”
  17. Click “Open zoom.us” in the bottom right corner of the prompt
  18. You might see a prompt giving a scary-looking warning. Click “Open”
  19. That’s it! You're in your Tech Lifesaver Session (or other Zoom meeting)
